About Me

My name is Eric Burke, owner of Burke’s Brick Work.

I was born in Scarborough in 1990, and grew up in Ajax, Ontario. In September of 2011, I was offered my first job in masonry. I spent 3 years as a labourer for a residential crew, where I learned how to set up job sites, cut bricks and stone, tool the joints - basically every job duty except lay the bricks. In 2014, I left and joined the Union in Toronto for my apprenticeship. The crew I worked with was predominately doing industrial and commercial jobs, mainly laying blocks, and occasionally brick and stone. In 2016, I moved to Port Elgin, Ontario, where I reside now, with my wife, daughter, and dog. During my last semester in school, I decided to start my own business, and gradually I have built the business up, to what you see today.

In 2018, I graduated from Conestoga College’s masonry program. In the summer of 2019, I passed the red seal exam, to become a nationally certified mason.

I now serve Grey and Bruce County, taking on all and any masonry projects that come my way. From chimney rebuilds, and fireplaces, to new construction, and everything in between.

I am eager to hear from you, and would be happy to discuss your ideas, on how I can complete the project of your dreams!
